“	I've received a number of letters asking how on earth he managed to pass the Entrance Exam. So I'll take this chance to explain it. First, as Izuku himself said, his quirk is actually quite strong. And remember that the rules of the Entrance Exam was to immobilize or render the villian-bots unable to function anymore, not necessarily to destroy them. As such he could trap them against walls or stick them to the ground, or even plug up their muzzles, to earn points. It's just that in a REAL battle, plucking and throwing his balls is far too easy to read and basically his only move, and so he can't clinch an attack, so it's hopelessly difficult- or so he thinks.	”

An Apology

“	''I need to issue an apology. When I explained her ability in the JUMP run of the chapter, I wrote "organic substances," but it should have been "living things." During proofreading I meant to correct it but the wrong version ended up in the magazine anyway. If she hadn't been able to create organic substances, then she wouldn't be able to create insulator sheets or clothing. It's a nigh unforgivable mistake to fudge up up the explanation of a superpower in a superpower manga. I'm honestly really sorry. So she can create any substance if she knows about it save for living things.	”
