This article is about Shoto Todoroki's older brother. For the Eight Bullets' member of the Shie Hassaikai, see Toya Setsuno.
Toya Todoroki (
Appearance
As a child, Toya had a round face and unruly red hair that spiked up in tufts around his head, falling down his forehead in uneven bangs. His eyes were pale-colored and oval-shaped, and he was pictured with a neutral expression. He also appears to have worn a plain gakuran jacket.[3]
Personality
In the past, Toya could be seen to play with his siblings, which indicates that he got on with them well, especially his brother Natsuo. Nothing is known about his personality in the present.
History
From presumably quite a young age, Toya was trained by his father because he possessed a fire Quirk that was even more powerful than Enji's own Hellflame. However, because he inherited the weak constitution of his mother Rei Todoroki, Enji deemed him a failure,[4] just as he did with Toya's younger siblings Fuyumi Todoroki and Natsuo Todoroki in turn.
Deemed useless and thus ignored by their father, the three siblings were always together. Toya developed what appeared to be an excellent relationship with them, especially with his brother, Natsuo, and they always played together.[5] However, they were raised separately from their youngest brother, Shoto Todoroki.[6]
Shortly after his mother left, Toya died in an accident, although the details regarding said accident are still widely unknown. His death affected his family, especially his mother Rei, whose mental state had already been harshly affected by her husband's past abuses, and his brother Natsuo, who still considers his father responsible for Toya's demise.[5]
Toya's family installed a Butsudan Buddhist altar in his former room after his passing and still send their prayers to him. Even Enji is seen praying at it, saying that he regrets the loss of his eldest son.[3]
Abilities
Quirk
Unnamed Fire Quirk: Although most of the details are unknown, Toya's Quirk allows him to produce a firepower even greater than his father's, but because he inherited Rei's weak constitution, he apparently was unable to use its power to its full potential.

Trivia
- Toya's first name contains the kanji for "lamp" (燈 tō?) and "arrow" (矢 ya?).
- In the Season 4 ending "Shout Baby," there is a burnt photo along with the other photos of the Todoroki Family and a young Hawks, possibly referencing Toya's status as unknown in the present.
