Lion Hero: Shishido (ライオンヒーロー シシド Raion Hīrō Shishido?) is the current No. 13 Pro Hero.[2]
Appearance[]
Shishido resembles a lion, with long, spiky, brown hair that appears like the mane of a lion. His hero costume consists of a large amount of golden fur, with several spikes both in front and on his back, positioned so that they resemble fangs, and a black mouth with exposed teeth that resembles a lion's maw.
During the HLB, his full body appearance is revealed. It is shown that he possesses a powerful, muscular build, and is above average height. Underneath his rugged fur coat is a black fitted top, and a brown-colored hide is tied around his waist, the clip reminiscent of a bear's paws. He wears turquoise jeans that ends just above his knees. He dons tan-colored gloves with spiky cuffs, and dark boots with golden fur lined around the rims.
Personality[]
Befitting of his namesake, lion, Shishido is a fiery, hot-blooded individual who will do anything to achieve victory. He is easily riled up, and when enraged, doesn't think twice about using physical strength to reprimand someone. This is demonstrated when he slams Real Steel into the ground using his Quirk, so much that the ground split open and cracked, which buried the young hero into the hole.
In contrast to his perceived prideful and arrogant disposition, Shishido is capable of showing compassion, where after seeing Red Riot withstand a pitch from Gang Orca, he told Tailman to take his place as pinch runner, telling him that the kid has reached his limit. It is also notable that he never batted away pitches from Gang Orca during Tailman's turn, allowing them to gain one point. Afterwards, he got fiery again, claiming that now he can fight without any distraction.
He is also willing to put aside his rivalry with Gang Orca when their work calls for it. After hearing the announcement about a bank robber getting away, he didn't hesitate to rush into the scene with the aforementioned hero and engage the villain. He is able to work effortlessly in tandem with Gang Orca, which allowed them to defeat the villain almost instantly.
Synopsis[]
Endeavor Agency Arc[]
During U.A. High School's second Hero Work Studies, he takes in Mashirao Ojiro, Rikido Sato, Jurota Shishida, and Nirengeki Shoda as his interns.[3]
Paranormal Liberation War Arc[]
Shishido is one of the Heroes assigned to the Villa Raid Team led by Edgeshot.[4] He is seen confronting various members of the Paranormal Liberation Front.[5]
Final War Arc[]
During the Final War against the Villains, the Heroes develop a plan to lure All For One and his forces out of hiding, using the Warp Gate Quirk to summon themselves onto the battlefield, and using the "Troy" defense system to trap the Villains and push them into more Warp Gates, splitting them up all over Japan.
Shishido is teleported to the Gunga Mountain Ruins alongside several other Heroes in order to face against an army of villains, while Endeavor and Hawks face All For One in the sky.
Although the heroes have a very good start, the battle is starting to fall apart when All For One regenerates himself after being burned to a crisp using the reversed-engineered Quirk-Destroying Drug, rewinding his body back to his prime. What's even worse is that Kurogiri was freed thanks to Spinner, allowing him to change the course of the war by teleporting both Dabi from Ground Zero, and Himiko from Okuto Island to the Gunga Mountains. It's also revealed Himiko had transformed into Twice, and as soon as she exited out of the Warp Gate, she unleashed Sad Man's Parade, which swarms all over the battlefield with Twice Doubles.[6] With Dabi's flames engulfing half of the battlefield, Shishido tells the heroes to move the captured Villains or they'll be burned up too, as the battle is seemingly lost for the heroes.[7]
Soon enough, however, the Shiketsu High School Hero Course students arrive as backup, with Inasa using his Whirlwind to suck up all the Twice Doubles and Himiko into the air, giving the Heroes the opportunity to counter-attack and throw everything they got at All For One. The villain retaliates by unleashing a massive laser explosion at the battlefield below, obliterating the other heroes out of the way, yet they all still stand their ground, to keep their defense strong and Shishido presses on to keep attacking, especially now that he's stopped running away.[8]
Eventually All For One attempts to escape, leaving several Heroes to give chase, while Shishido and several others stay behind to fend off against the endless Twice Double swarm. Himiko and her Doubles are able to gain the upper hand as she unleashes Sad Man's Death Parade, increasing the volume of clones fuelled by her anger and rage. Shishido and the rest of the Heroes find themselves consumed by the ocean while still struggling to fight.[9]
With rage fueling her insanity, Himiko unleashes Sad Man's Legion, releasing her Doubles to the absolute extreme on a gigantic scale. The ocean completely consumes all the Heroes, Villains, and Nomu alike, and decimating the nearby city. Shishido was among those swallowed by the ocean of Doubles as it washes over everything in its path.[10] However, Ochaco undergoes a Quirk Awakening as the ocean of Doubles suddenly bursts open with everyone starting to float through the air, thanks to her Quirk spreading between all the bodies that came into contact with each other.[10] Thanks to Ochaco holding out against Himiko, the effects of Twice's transformation wears off as the ocean of Doubles disintegrate in the air, with Ochaco using her remaining strength to carefully ensure the exhausted and unconscious Heroes have a safe landing.[11]
