Sky Egg Arc[]

Edgeshot and Snipe showing their skills

Edgeshot shows his ninja skills.

Edgeshot accepts Makoto Tsukauchi's invitation to participate in the farewell show dedicated to Captain Celebrity at the Tokyo Sky Egg on the occasion of his return to the United States.[2] Once on stage, he performs some ninja skills alongside some other Heroes.

However, during the event, the Tokyo Sky Egg is attacked by creatures known as Bombers, sent there by the villain Number 6 to kill Captain Celebrity. To achieve it, he orders the Bombers to damage the structure, leaving Captain Celebrity completely defenseless to the Bombers by having to use his strength to prevent the building from collapsing.[3]

In one of the rooms of the Sky Egg, the heroes and show staff discuss the situation. They quickly organize to defeat the creatures and protect the people there.[4] Edgeshot is part of the group of heroes in charge of facing the Bombers. Once outside, Edgeshot uses his Foldabody Quirk on the Bomber that was previously attacking Captain Celebrity. Edgeshot pierces the creature thanks to his Foldabody, and Best Jeanist uses his Fiber Master Quirk to catch it and leave it hanging.

Edgeshot pierces the Bomber

Edgeshot pierces the Bomber.

After the Bombers are defeated and the building is secured, Edgeshot goes to check on Captain Celebrity's status. He is covered in bruises from the blows of the Bombers, but thanks to Koichi protecting him, he survived and was able to continue holding the Tokyo Sky Egg, but then exhaustion and injuries finally cause his Flight Quirk to fail and he plunges, with Koichi jumping unconsciously to save him. Edgeshot quickly prepares to save the two.

Just in that moment, in retaliation for the Heroes' intervention, Number 6 orders the last Bomber to self-destruct in a large explosion, causing the building to collapse.[5] Fortunately, All Might arrives in time and manages save everybody's lives.[6]

Later, while speaking to the media, Edgeshot alongside Best Jeanist praises both All Might and Captain Celebrity for helping save thousands of lives during the terrorist attack.[7]

Naruhata Lockdown Arc[]

Best Jeanist & Edgeshot

Best Jeanist and Edgeshot confront The Crawler.

Edgeshot is called to apprehend Koichi Haimawari, the vigilante known as The Crawler, by the police following an attack on the police department by an unknown assailant. Teaming up with Best Jeanist, he distracts The Crawler with his Spiral Spear Hand, forcing him to land on the rooftops. There, Jeanist and Edgeshot recognize him as the unsung hero from the Sky Egg Bombing, and reveal that they are aware that someone is out to get Kazuho Haneyama, so they want to win back his faith in the Pros.

Before Koichi could slip away, Jeanist binds his jacket into a straitjacket using his Fiber Master Quirk. The Crawler attempts to slide away and jump off the building, but Jeanist prevents him from falling with a web of threads using his Ultimate Move, Catching Cradle, while Edgeshot uses his Fishhook Snag to catch him. Koichi's restrains loosened up, and he uses this opportunity to slip out and escape. Best Jeanist and Edgeshot are surprised at Koichi's skills, and the former admits that they have underestimated Koichi's sheer resolve. Edgeshot follows up that capturing a desparate opponent will be a challenge, as this means they won't be able to prioritize their well being. Best Jeanist agrees, but clarifies that, as Pro Heroes, excuses are beneath them, so they set out to capture The Crawler once again.[8]

Number 6 blows up several Anonymous

Edgeshot is caught in an explosion.

That night, Number 6 cuts off all power in Naruhata by shooting an electromagnetic pulse into the sky.[9] Best Jeanist, Edgeshot, and Ingenium soon make it to Koichi and Eraser Head's location. The heroes reassures the public, and they are met with cheers.[10] At Naruhata Station, the Heroes gather intel on how big the situation is, learning that the blackout extends for kilometers and the roads and railways are suspended. They notice uncanny similarities to the Sky Egg incident, and prioritize making contact outside Naruhata, with Edgeshot surveying the area and making contact with Naomasa.

Koichi thanks the heroes for their help before attempting an escape, but is restrained by Eraser Head, effectively putting him under arrest. Best Jeanist and Edgeshot ask why he didn't leave when he had the chance, to which Koichi says that he wanted to thank the heroes. Eraser Head offers to watch over Koichi while he head to the hospital to link up with Naomasa, which they agree to. While patrolling in the air, Edgeshot sees a civilian crying for help, and reaches out to assist. However, the civilian is actually one of Number 6's Anonymous, and Edgeshot is caught in their explosions.[11]

Pro Heroes return to Naruhata

The Pro Heroes return to save Naruhata.

He's eventually able to recover and reunites with the rest of the Pro Heroes to fight against the now gigantic Number 6.[12] Edgeshot uses his Quirk to glide above the city and report on the monster's movements while Best Jeanist addresses the civilians, and Ingenium helps escort them to safety.[13] Number 6 then proceeds to explode into several mini bombers that begin to rampage through the city and cause destruction. The Heroes step in to protect the civilians from these mini bombers, with Edgeshot protecting some of them with his Substitution Jutsu technique, making it appear like he got hit by the explosion, only to be replaced by a log.

The combined effort of Endeavor and All Might swiftly take care of all the mini bombers, saving the day.[14] In the aftermath, the Heroes all continue to aid the civilians in the evacuation process, with Edgeshot being thanked by a group of children.[15]

Hideout Raid Arc[]

Edgeshot gets recruited

Edgeshot gets the call to arms.

Following the Vanguard Action Squad's invasion of U.A. High School's Quirk Training Camp, Edgeshot is enlisted by Naomasa Tsukauchi to the Hideout Raid Team. Alongside Best Jeanist, Endeavor, Gran Torino, Gang Orca, Tiger, Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, and All Might, Edgeshot attends a strategy meeting to rescue Katsuki Bakugo from the villains.[16]

The next night, the Hideout Raid Team arrives at the League of Villains' headquarters. Edgeshot knocks on the door, pretending to be from Kamino's Pizza Delivery. All Might and the others take advantage of the distraction burst in through the opposite wall. Kamui Woods restrains all the villains with his Quirk and then Edgeshot uses his powers to slide through the door. He tells the villains people often neglect defense when they're on the offense and then unlocks the door and lets in the police force hiding behind it.[17]

Thousand Sheet Pierce

Edgeshot knocks out Kurogiri.

Kurogiri tries to Warp his allies away using his Quirk, but Edgeshot stops him by using his Thousand Sheet Pierce technique. The Ninja Hero manipulates the thinness of his body and stabs Kurogiri to cut off his blood flow in order to knock him unconscious. Then he turns to Katsuki Bakugo and tells him he took advantage of a weakness the young man exposed during a fight with the Warp Villain. Suddenly black liquid appears and begins warping Nomu into the hideout. Gran Torino yells for Edgeshot to stop Kurogiri. The latter confirms that this isn't Kurogiri's doing because he's still out cold. The black liquid even manages to warp Katsuki away.[18]

The black liquid begins to take hold of the villains as well. Edgeshot, Gran Torino, and All Might rush to restrain them, but they're all warped away in time. Kamui Woods apologizes for allowing them to escape. Edgeshot combats a Nomu and knocks it out before replying that it wasn't the hero's fault. The Ninja Hero surmises that the warping Quirk targeted specific people, unlike Kurogiri's Quirk. All Might and Gran Torino leave the remaining Nomu to Edgeshot, Kamui Woods, and Endeavor and go after the League of Villains Leader at the Nomu factory.[19]

Endeavor and Edgeshot vs All For One

Edgeshot and Endeavor assist All Might.

After dealing with the remaining Nomu, Naomasa asks the heroes to follow All Might and help him against All For One. Edgeshot and Endeavor arrive in time to stop All For One from blasting a weakened All Might. Endeavor yells at All Might for entering a weakened form and All For One asks that he be quiet if he only came to encourage the Number One Hero. Edgeshot refutes this and attacks All for One. He tells All For One the heroes came to assist and stretches his limbs to try and stab the villain. All For One evades Edgeshot's many attacks and eventually blows him and Endeavor away with an air cannon attack.[20]

Thanks to the support of many, All Might is able to defeat All For One. As the world watches via the media All Might enters his muscular form and raises his fist in victory. Edgeshot worries that All Might is pushing himself, but Gran Torino tells him to let the Symbol of Peace be because he still has people to inspire.[21]

Remedial Course Arc[]

Impressed by Kamui's actions during the Kamino Raid, Edgeshot invited him to team up together, which he accepted. Kamui was so happy that he sobbed for two hours.[22] Later they would invite Mt. Lady to join them. There had been rumors for a while about their team up, before it finally became official, calling themselves "The Lurkers".[23]

Pro Hero Arc[]

Hawks interrupts Edgeshot

Edgeshot's speech is interrupted by Hawks.

The Hero Public Safety Commission invites Edgeshot to the first Hero Billboard Chart JP since the Kamino Incident. He is announced to have moved up to the rank of the No. 4 Hero who's approval ratings and conflict resolution count have skyrocketed since All Might's retirement. The new No. 5 Hero Mirko taunts Edgeshot for joining a team and he replies for her to stay quiet while they're in public.[24]

An interview reveals to the Ninja Hero that he would've been the No. 3 Hero if rankings were purely based on approval ratings. Edgeshot replies that he isn't concerned with the numbers and replies that it's more important to strive to create peace. No. 2 Hero Hawks interrupts Edgeshot's speech and claims nobody cares what the heroes say. Edgeshot and Mirko comment that Hawks is known for throwing everyone for a loop.[25]

Endeavor Agency Arc[]

By the end of the year, due to the increase of villain activity, the Hero Public Safety Commission demand all the student heroes for all academies to undergo practical field training.[26] Denki Kaminari, Hanta Sero, and Minoru Mineta from Class 1-A, and Ibara Shiozaki from Class 1-B join The Lurkers.

Edgeshot also receives a copy of the Meta Liberation War book which details a hidden message from Hawks.[27]

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission[]

Egypt Task Force

Edgeshot joins the Egypt Task Force with the Lurkers.

Edgeshot and the Lurkers learn that Humarise has detonated a Trigger Bomb in a major city, killing thousands and destroying the entire infrastructure. In response to the act of terrorism, the World Heroes Association mobilizes the largest anti-terror joint task force. The Lurkers join the Egypt Task Force with their Work Study interns, Denki, Hanta, Minoru, and Ibara, where they meet Salaam, Egypt's top Hero.

The heroes lead an assault on a Humarise forward operating base in Cairo. Despite their successful raid, the heroes fail to locate the Trigger Bombs or any of the Humarise's leaders. The Egypt team were ordered to be on standby. While they are stationed in Cairo, Humarise had publicly broadcast to the entire world that they have planted the Trigger Bombs in over twenty-five cities, one of which is Cairo, and they will detonate the bombs in two hours to "cleanse" the population of their Quirks. As a result, Cairo is locked in a state of anarchy and chaos, so the Egypt team scrambled to quell the hysteria and locate the bombs.

Egypt Task Force celebrates victory

The Egypt Task Force are victorious over the Humarise.

Finally the heroes manage to find the bomb, having to engage in an all-out war against the Humarise agents who protect it. During the battle, the heroes are informed that Izuku's group intend to storm Humarise's main base in order to defuse the bombs worldwide.

The Lurkers manage to reach the bomb just as the countdown ends, but after a few seconds nothing happens, indicating that Izuku's group had managed to deactivate the Trigger Bombs in time, saving the world from catastrophic destruction. With the main threat neutralized, the heroes defeat the last of Humarise's agents and seize the device, celebrating the victory. Once the crisis has been averted, the team leave the country.[28]

Paranormal Liberation War Arc[]

Villa Raid Team (Anime)

Edgeshot leads the Villa Raid Team.

By the end of March, thanks to the police investigations, and the information leaked by Hawks, who was acting as a spy, the Hero Public Safety Commission organize the Heroes and the Police Force to take down the Paranormal Liberation Front. Edgeshot, along with his teammates Mt. Lady and Kamui Woods, is part of a large force of heroes in charge of raiding the Gunga Mountain Villa, the headquarters of the Paranormal Liberation Front.[29][30]

While the heroes wait for the signal to attack, Edgeshot comments that all the PLF bases all over the country are surrounded by heroes. Fat Gum can't help but be impressed that the villains' whole activities have been figured out. After the hero team led by Endeavor start to storm the Jaku General Hospital, the Villa Raid Team begins their assault on the Gunga Mountain Villa, catching the PLF members off guard.

Re-Destro vs Edgeshot

Edgeshot desperately tries to hold off Re-Destro.

The soldiers rush out of the mansion to confront the heroes and one of the PLF lieutenants attacks them with an electric shock, but his attack is canceled by Denki Kaminari.[31] The villain prepares to unleash an even more powerful shock, but before he does so, Edgeshot zips past him and several other PLF soldiers using Thousand Sheet Pierce to prevent them from breathing by placing tiny holes in their lungs. This allows his fellow heroes to easily defeated and restrain the villains.[32]

His actions and those carried out by other heroes achieve that little by little they are winning on that front, despite the increasing resistance presented by the Paranormal Liberation Front soldiers. This situation drastically changes when, at the front of the hospital, Tomura Shigaraki awakens and orders Gigantomachia to reunite with him, bringing with him the Lieutenants of the army.[33]The hulking beast emerges from the bunker in which he was trapped, and disposes of all the heroes who try to stop him.

Edgeshot uses Thousand Sheet Pierce on Re-Destro

Edgeshot defeats Re-Destro.

Worse, with his actions, Gigantomachia also allows many of the members of the army that were with him to also go out to aid his comrades. Among them is Re-Destro, who also emerges from the bunker with his Stress Quirk activated. Edgeshot and several heroes quickly prepare to face him, as Re-Destro is ready to fight them and orders the other members to follow the giant and begin their revolution.[34]

Gigantomachia, however, brought most of the heroes' attention to himself, which left Edgeshot fighting against Re-Destro alone. After a long battle, of which details are unknown, Re-Destro's mechanical legs were broken once again and Edgeshot managed to pierce through his body using his Quirk, defeating him, though the hero was visibly exhausted from the fight and moderately injured. Re-Destro was then arrested, alongside Geten, Trumpet, and other Liberation warriors.[35]

Dark Hero Arc[]

In the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War, All For One escapes from Tartarus, and proceeded to break into several more maximum security prisons, liberating the inmates. Due to the chaos inflicted by Gigantomachia and the mass breakout of prisoners, the whole country entered a state of total chaos and anarchy. In addition, many Heroes were killed or called it quits in disgrace after the fall of hero society due to all the damage and chaos spreading throughout the country. Edgeshot and his team of the Lurkers were some of the Heroes that remained to continue to fight and track down the villains still causing trouble.

Heroes discuss the current situation

Edgeshot and the remaining Heroes left after the fall of society.

At some point the Lurkers were informed by Endeavor, Hawks, and Best Jeanist about One For All, the Quirk possessed by Izuku Midoriya which All For One desires to steal, and their plan to use him as bait to lure him out of hiding. They end up receiving word from Lady Nagant of All For One's supposed location at the Haibori Woods Mansion, so Izuku, the Top Three Heroes, and the Lurkers head there to confront him. However, it turns out to be a trap and the mansion explodes, with the Heroes barely escaping in time.[36]

The Pro Heroes rendezvous at an abandoned warehouse, where Edgeshot asks if they are able to get any more information out of Lady Nagant, but Hawks is unsure due to her current critical state. Edgeshot then brings up the idea of all of them banding together the other Heroes and share One For All's secret so they can create a larger network of investigations. Endeavor, however, reminds them of all the Heroes retiring lately, including Death Arms, and that they are leaking more information about One For All and Izuku, which they don't want the public to find out.

Mt. Lady wonders why All For One hasn't revealed One For All himself to the public, which Endeavor believes that if he did that, they would do everything they can to keep Izuku hidden, so that is the reason why he hasn't done that. However, he admits they don't have any clues unless they and Izuku move, and all of them come to face the reality that there aren’t enough police forces and heroes to handle it all.[37]

Final War Arc[]

Heroes arrive through Warp Gate

Edgeshot and the Heroes exit the Warp Gates to fight the villains.

With chaos spreading unchecked and the dwindling number of Heroes, those that remain and the Counter-Force have come together with a plan to take the fight to the Villains and defeat them in a Final War. The plan is to utilize Neito Monoma's Copy Quirk to copy Kurogiri's Warp Gate, which will not only allow the Heroes to catch the Villains off guard, but also allow them to separate the Villains all over Japan.

Edgeshot is assigned to the team to directly face Tomura Shigaraki, accompanied by Best Jeanist, Mirko, Nejire Chan, Suneater, Katsuki, and Izuku. Their plan is to warp Tomura to a floating U.A. High, to keep him contained and minimize his damage potential. Days prior to the start of the War, the team met up at Troy to discuss their plan of attack.

Best Jeanist informs everyone how Tomura's bound to strike at U.A., and they must not allow him to touch the ground, as well as making sure they are all aware in what they seek to protect. The others presume he is talking about the civilians and collateral damage, with Edgeshot pointing out that they already threw out the worry of the buildings after assigning the fight against Dabi to be in Kamino. However, Jeanist clarifies he's referring to the issue of Tomura's personality, noting they would prefer to deal with the All For One persona, who seeks to dominate over living subjects, while Tomura simply wants to destroy everything. With his strength and hatred brewing inside of him, his desire for destruction may direct itself toward the Earth itself, and states that in a world where they emerge victorious, even if they stood their ground and rose back up from dire straits, it will all be for nothing without a foundation to stand on, and reiterates what it is they must protect.[38]

After a month of hiding, All For One was successfully lured out and summons an army of villains at the desired location. However, the Heroes were able to anticipate this confrontation and so, Edgeshot and the group of Heroes are teleported onto the battlefield and prepare to fight the villains.[39] All Might activates the Troy defense system, encasing the Villains into cages long enough for the Heroes to push them into the respective Warp Gates and split them up. Edgeshot enters the portal alongside his teammates to fight Tomura on the now floating U.A. Fortress.[40]

U.A

Edgeshot and the U.A. Heroes ready to battle Tomura.

However, before the fighting can begin, Izuku is ensnared by Himiko Toga and thrown through the wrong Warp Gate, leaving the Heroes left to fight Tomura without him. They demonstrate their control over the battlefield in order to combat Tomura's abilities, as well as Neito using Eraser Head's Erasure Quirk to cancel his Quirks, however are caught off guard once Tomura's fingers suddenly begin to sprout endlessly and decimate the battlefield.[41]

Everyone is confused by the onslaught, knowing that Erasure is in effect, with Edgeshot using his Quirk to dodge, asking if it is a Quirk or not. Tomura responds that it is simply his growth as a result of all the Quirks within his body adapting to handle them, the true essence of the Quirk Singularity Theory. Realizing that they are unable to teleport Izuku to the location, which would result in stopping Erasure and allowing Tomura to Decay everything and everyone with his fingers, the Heroes stand their ground to face and defeat him even without One For All.[42]

Pulp-Thread Throttle

Edgeshot fighting against Tomura's fingers.

Try as they might, Tomura's wave of fingers continue to be trouble as they're forced to evade and fight them off. Edgeshot uses his "Pulp-Thread Throttle" to destroy a chunk of fingers, only for more to grow in its place. He openly questions how it could not be a Quirk, as it should be impossible to be considered natural growth. Tomura simply responds that it's the result of the All For One Quirk settling into his body, as the various Quirk Factors combine and mold the body into its ideal form to handle it. He declares that with the body and its power, he will create a new world, either of his own or beyond him.[43]

Katsuki goes to fight Tomura head-on using his Quirk at max output, but unfortunately, Tomura is able to grab ahold of him, bunting the attack and breaking his right arm in the process. Mirko, Best Jeanist, and Edgeshot attempt to try and rescue him, but Tomura simply swats them all away with his fingers, demonstrating his "All Might-level" power to them first hand.[44]

Zenith

Edgeshot prepares to enter Katsuki's body.

Shortly afterwards, Katsuki was seemingly killed in his battle with Tomura after the villain dealt a heavy blow right to his chest, bursting his heart, and leaving him nearly dead. While some of the Heroes struggling to hold Tomura back, an injured Edgeshot appears before Jeanist and Katsuki's dying body, declaring himself that as the ninja hero, he has crept into so many bodies and is familiar with it all, using his Quirk to stick his body into Katsuki's. He calls out to Mirko telling her to continue to struggle, and declaring that the heart that stopped is a life they can't afford to lose. Edgeshot says that he will fill in for whatever is lacking in Katsuki's heart, and as Best Jeanist warns him he won't be able to come back from it, he responds he will leave the rest to him. Thinking back to their time in U.A., Edgeshot unleashes his Ninpo: Thousand Sheet Pierce - Zenith, declaring that he will become Katsuki's heart as he enters through his open wound.[1]

Using a bubble given to him by Wash, Edgeshot sterilizes his own body before entering Katsuki's. Once within, he proceeds to stitch up his organs from inside and out. However, due to the extreme conditions for how thin he's made himself, his technique slowly takes a toll on his own life. Knowing that his life is on the line, he leaves the rest of the fighting to the other Heroes, and tells Katsuki that he needs to wake up.[45] Over the course of these events, almost all the other Heroes are taken out of commission, and Izuku finally arrives to deal with Tomura.[46]

Edgeshot after saving Katsuki's life

Edgeshot's state after helping bring Katsuki back to life.

Edgeshot works to repair the damage to Katsuki's heart, using his body to mend his organs and broken bones with knots using his "Hidden Hakamada Style", so the repairs won't come unravelled. However, despite successfully repairing and restarting his heart and lungs, he wasn't able to return him to life. His Zenith Ultimate Move continues slowly eating away his own life, and he was at his limit when he suddenly noticed tiny beads of sweat Katsuki produced moments before his death, rushing through the bloodstream. As a result, this is enough to successfully jump-start Katsuki's heart, resuscitating him.[47] A still recovering Katsuki blasts himself off U.A. and, with Izuku's help, is able to blast fast enough to save All Might's life from All For One, who tried to kill him in front of everyone.[48]

After they land on a nearby building and ask how they each are doing, he suddenly coughs a lot of blood as Edgeshot, now just the size of a thread, emerges from Katsuki's body, saying he's the one that should be asking how he's feeling. All Might is surprised to see him as he explains he was forced to expel the blood within which should now grant him some relief. He further explains how he was able to mend the broken parts of the body together, reminding him that he will still deal with blowback if he tries to move as his body needs rest. Katsuki proceeds to thank Edgeshot for bringing him back, however, he states he simply held him together, revealing how the sweat gland from his Cluster awoke him, and that what brought him back was the power he's honed.[47]

All Might and Edgeshot proceed to watch in amazement at Katsuki's new incredible speed as he begins to battle All For One himself. Edgeshot mentions to All Might that when he was on the verge of death, he managed to even outpace Tomura, noting he seems to be on the verge of grasping something essential and powerful about his Quirk.[49]

As they watch the battle unfolding, they were completely horrified to see All For One attempting to end it all in one final, ultimate attack - "Omni-Factor Unleash: All For One Goal", activating every single Quirk and Quirk Factor in his body to simultaneously kill Katsuki, reach Tomura, and implant his own Quirk to re-establish control. They realize he intends to use everything to propel him forward and claim victory in a single burst, even though it will revert him back to a baby.[50]

All For One releases his attack, blasting forwards at lightning-fast speeds, and leaving a path of destruction in its wake. All Might and Edgeshot were blown away by the attack, but managed to hold on as All For One comes for Katsuki. Despite the odds stacked against him, Katsuki keeps firm, and successfully counters All For One's attack with his Explosions. As a result of the onslaught, as well as losing control of his Quirk Factors due to his negative emotions, he's unable to retaliate as Katsuki unleashes his super-empowered Howitzer Impact, blasting his monstrous appearance with a barrage of Explosions, and destroying All For One's face with a ginormous Explosion at point blank range, sending him careening toward the ground. All Might and Edgeshot look on, understanding that after all the damage dealt by everyone and his own built-up aggravation, at long last, All For One has been defeated for good.[51]

Due to his severe injuries, All Might briefly fell unconscious, until Edgeshot manages to wake him up, telling him he may meet his end if he drifts off and to remain conscious. He explains how without an earpiece they don't know the details but presumes that Izuku is still fighting Tomura far off in the distance. Meanwhile, All Might wonders to himself about the vision of One For All he just experienced, and realizes that the power they spun together, bit by bit, is coming unraveled.[52]
