Shinji Nishiya (
Appearance
Shinji is a relatively short man, as his face is unknown since he has only been shown while he is using his Quirk. His Hero Costume is a dark blue bodysuit that includes a wooden belt, wooden knee pads, and wooden shoes. A small rose veil hangs from the left side of his belt.
After he officially became the No. 7 Pro Hero, his costume was slightly modified, and he now has two wooden rings hanging on his shoulder, which have stumps and branches protruding from them.
Personality
Shinji is a very serious and focused person when it comes to being a hero in his hero duties; however, he easily feels down when someone takes his glory or credit.
Abilities
Overall Abilities: Shinji has grown to be incredibly strong during his career as a hero, earning him the spot at the No. 7 ranked hero on the JP Billboard Charts. His skills have led some to believe that he will be a standout hero of the next generation.
Quirk
Shinji using his binding branches.
Arbor (樹木 Jumoku?): Shinji's Quirk allows him to enlarge and control his wooden body parts into strong tree branches. These branches are excellent for binding. Being made of wood, this Quirk has a disadvantage against fire.

Trivia
- Kamui (カムイ?) means "god" or "deity" (in the Ainu language) and Shinrin (森林?) means "woods", giving Shinji's hero name the meaning "God of the Woods".
- Shinji's fighting style seems to be based on Spider-Man from Marvel Comics.
- It's revealed that Shinji had a dark childhood that was later made into a popular documentary.[1]
- He appears on Recovery Girl's Pez Dispenser.[2]
- Shinji's Japanese voice actor, Masamichi Kitada, also voices Juzo Honenuki from Class 1-B.
