Hey there. I figured that since you guys are the official MHA wiki, I would share this information with you. Regarding the term "Super Move", it is actually incorrect as I have translated the raw of Chapter 241. I would have gone as far back as Chapter 100 when the Super Move Training was undergoing to see if it was correct back then as well.
Anyways, the term used within the raws is "Special Move" (必殺技,Hissatsuwaza?). It is a martial artist term used to refer to a unique technique in reference to a single fighter or a fighting style. If used in the context of Villains, it can mean "Killer Move" without changing the translation. Don't know if it is used in such context but figured, it was cool.
VIZ Media and the Anime both use the term Ultimate Move. We use Viz translations and they've mostly used Ultimate Move. Seeing as Ultimate and Super mean the same thing, we don't see a reason to make a lot of work for ourselves. Changing Super Move would mean changing multiple pages and categories. We just feel its unecessary.
That's fair. I just felt like I should bring it to the attention of you guys. I can understand why you wouldn't want to change it since that's a lot of work to suddenly dump on you with Season 4 coming out and the fact you guys are most likely still busy.
Hi Roranoa Drake II, I know I've already mentioned this on Discord to you, but figured might as well leave a message here too. I've been assigned as the My Hero Academia Wiki's Wiki Manager. My job includes being a liaison between your wiki and full time fandom staff and assisting in anyway I can. I wrote up a short blog at User blog:TyA/Your New Wiki Manager with a few more deets.
