Denki's Quirk gives him the ability to take in electricity and emit it out of his body as a sort of protective aura that electrocutes anyone through contact.
When using his Quirk, Denki gains a defense mechanism that shocks those who touch him. If he emits enough electricity, it automatically discharges in all directions, shocking anyone close to him, regardless of contact. He can also use his electricity to activate or charge electronics, like the radio headset he uses in his hero costume or the batteries of various electric devices. Due to this being a light-based Quirk, it has a natural advantage against Fumikage's Dark Shadow.
If Denki exceeds his wattage limit, he short-circuits his own brain, becoming an idiot for one hour and being unable to use his Quirk (or defend himself for that matter) until he recovers. In this state, he becomes harmless and thus easier to defeat, capture, or hold hostage.
Because of his wattage limit and indiscriminate discharges, Denki usually holds back from showing his full power so that he doesn't end up accidentally harming anyone on his side. It is, however, possible to protect oneself from his electricity through insulation material. This also makes him vulnerable to Quirks that don't conduct electricity like Vines or other Quirks that use electricity as well, which can lead Denki to panic and overuse his Electrification, hitting his limit in the process.
