Copy (コピー Kopī?) is a Quirk used by Neito Monoma.

Description

Copy

Neito copying Hardening.

Copy allows Neito to utilize a Quirk after coming into contact with its respective user.[1]

He does not need to make contact with much, as a few strands of hair seem to be enough for his Quirk to take effect. After doing so, Neito gains full access to the Quirk he has copied and can use it however he likes. He also seems to instantly know how to activate any Quirk that he copies, even if it is his first time seeing or using said Quirk. Copying multiple Quirks at once is possible as well, although he is still restricted to using only one at a time.[1]

However, a drawback is that Neito can only use the Quirk he has copied for five minutes, losing access to it after that specific time limit is over.

So far, Neito has been shown copying the following Quirks:

Trivia

  • It is unknown whether this Quirk is able to copy Mutant-Type Quirks, but its restrictions might be similar to Erasure, as that can only disable Emitter and Transformer-type Quirks.
  • It is also unknown whether or not this Quirk would be able to copy the likes of One For All or All For One.
  • It is also unknown how this Quirk would react when the user touches multiple people at once, or when they touch a person with multiple Quirks.
  • At chapter 214, Monoma has copied One For All and attempt to use it. While there were visual effects of the copied quirk's activation like the color pattern, there was no actual effect which caused Ochaco to believe that he was bluffing and Monoma himself to believe that he failed. It is unknown if the failure of Monoma's quirk to properly copy and use One For All was because of the specific trait of One For All that prevents stealing of the power or if the reason why the quirk failed to properly activate is because the quirk is made of multiple quirks or if the stockpiled power couldn't be copied.
