Ochako is the version used by the manga at least. Does anybody know what the Japanese raws say for her name?
Not very clear translation from Japanese to English. Overall, translating names between the two is a pain. Originally it was Ochako, but the anime came around and we got Ochaco, and from a Westerns perspective, you would think it would be "Ochako" with a "k". Now 99.9% of people who read the series uses "Ochako". Same goes for, "Shouto". From the Japanese, its not pronouced right in English."Shoto" (Show-toe) should be "Shouto".
Really, 99.9%? So you're just assuming the vast majority of people only read the piroted scans?
And you wrong about the Japanese part, you do realize the writer is Japanese, and he's the one who writes all the names that are listed here with "ou" (Shout0) and "oo" (Tooru) with a single "o" (Shoto and Toru)? Furthermore, going by that logic Tokyo should be written "Toukyou" but that is not the case. Romanizing Japanese long vowels the way he does is nothing new, nor is it incorrect.
You're argument basically seems to be that even though we know how the author wries the characters names, and that's also how the official translation, which the wiki goes by writes the characters names, we should just ignore that because some people might find it a bit strange. That some people might find it jarring is not a convincing one to not do what we know for certain is the correct translation. By the same logic we should have wrong information on the wiki instead of proper translations if more people have read the incorrect version.
